CAM Cares | Southeast Strong: Hope after the Hurricane
Hurricanes Helene and Milton have left behind unimaginable destruction across the beautiful mountain communities of Western North Carolina, as well as Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Eastern Tennessee.
The impact has been overwhelming. Entire towns, neighborhoods, main roads and interstates have been wiped out by floods, landslides, sinkholes, and mudslides. Hundreds of thousands of people are now displaced, lacking access to food, clean water, power, and the ability to communicate with loved ones due to ongoing cell service outages. Countless are trapped in isolated areas, and tragically, hundreds are still missing. Many of the Chicago Association Management (CAM) clients and team members in the affected areas are safe, however, they have been deeply impacted by this disaster.
These mountain communities—so full of life, history, and natural beauty—now face a long and uncertain road to recovery. But with your help, we can begin to rebuild what was lost. Your efforts will continue to inspire confidence in these areas and these acts of kindness and testimonials are restoring hope and making a difference. Caravans of large equipment, supplies, volunteers and first responders from all over the region have stepped up in a large way. There are so many heartfelt positive stories on social media, however, these forces cannot dissolve. There is still so much left to be done.
At CAM and CEI, we are working to raise funds in order to provide immediate relief to those in dire need. All funds raised will go directly to supporting families who have lost everything, supplying food, clean water, essential items, emergency shelter and helping to rebuild our towns and cities.
Be part of our mission to bring hope and relief—join our efforts today!
All funds raised through CAM Cares will be sent to Samaritan’s Purse and Convoy of Hope.
You can also partner with CAM Cares by sharing on your own social media platforms.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on the lives of those affected. If you choose to donate supplies, please purchase your item of choice in bulk as it becomes difficult for the volunteers to sort through multiple random items.
Thank you for your generosity and love during this devastating time. Together, we can help restore the affected communities and help bring hope to those who need it most.
With gratitude,
Ed Graziano & Linda Whitlock
